Our Mission

As your sleep consultant, it is my mission to provide you and your child with the necessary support to achieve your sleep goals. Each sleep plan is customized to meet your individual needs as a parent. There is no “one size fits all” approach when it comes to sleep training. Together, we will create a plan that aligns with your parenting philosophy and values.

Sleep training doesn’t have to mean letting your child cry. Far too often, people jump to this incorrect conclusion and assume my plans include waiting out the crying. Let me assure you that there are many different methods and my goal is to find one that works best for you and your family. I’m here to offer you the guidance and support you need to achieve your sleep training goals.

Cara Walker, Founder and Certified Sleep Consultant

My name is Cara Walker and I am so blessed to be married to not only my best friend, but the most amazing dad to our three beautiful children! As we embarked on our parenting journey in 2015, we knew our lives would be forever changed. Throughout my pregnancy, my husband and I often heard comments regarding sleep and how we would apparently never get to experience it again once the baby arrived. “Sleep now because you’ll never sleep again” was a crowd favorite.

Being an elementary school teacher, I know that children thrive on routine and structure. There had to be a way to provide my child with the sleep he needed; so my research began. My sister had previously worked with The Cradle Coach, a sleep consultancy firm based out of South Florida. They helped guide her daughter towards a healthy sleep foundation and I witnessed it happening. I saw how structured her days were and how much sleep she was getting at night. I saw how energized and peaceful she was while awake. I saw the amazing benefits it brought to her entire family!

The day I put my 9-week-old on a regular sleep schedule was when our lives truly changed for the better. Our days now had consistency. He was following predictable nap and feeding schedules. Everything fell into place. By 3 months old, he was sleeping through the night (12 hours straight) and happier than ever during the day! Fast forward 2 years to our daughter being born; I was able to implement a healthy sleep foundation from the beginning and her schedule has always been amazing.

I understand the struggle of being a tired mom and constantly trying to guess what your child needs or wants. As a new mother, you feel like the world is watching and pressuring you to do everything perfectly; that in itself can be exhausting. By implementing a consistent daily schedule and routine, I have created a positive sleep foundation for our family. Our lives are significantly easier and more stable.

Becoming a sleep consultant was one of the best decisions I have made. I love helping frustrated parents succeed while overcoming sleep deprivation and helping their children!

Hi! My name is Kendall and I am a certified infant and toddler sleep consultant.

I met Cara when I started babysitting her 2 children in 2018. Two littles turned into three and babysitting turned into nannying! I have loved being able to watch her babies grow and develop - I knew I didn’t want to part with their family, after graduating from the University of South Florida. When I graduated in 2021, with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, I decided to become certified as a baby and toddler sleep consultant and join the Well Rested Mama team!

Since then I have enjoyed running Well Rested Mama’s social media, creating content that allows us to connect with parents like you daily! I have worked with many families and it has been an amazing journey watching babies, and their parents, go from sleep deprived to well rested and thriving. My goal is to help guide you through the sleep training process, so you and your little one can be successful in getting the sleep you need and deserve!

Our 3-year-old daughter was extremely difficult to put down and would wake several times throughout the night. Cara created a personalized daily schedule that accommodated our hectic lives. We both work full-time and participate in extracurricular activities every night of the week. If we can do it, anyone can! Cara was with us every step of the process to celebrate our successes and brainstorm if anything needed to be adjusted. I’m amazed to say that by night four, a yearlong bad habit was completely eradicated. Our daughter now stays in bed after being tucked in, falls asleep within five to ten minutes and sleeps through the entire night. Sleep training is a simple process and it works!

Cara, our infant sleep consultant from Well Rested Mama helped us create a healthy sleep foundation for our son at only 9 weeks old. She established a plan that perfectly suited our family and scheduling needs. Her plan educated us on how to give our child the sleep he needed on a daily basis. By implementing the plan early on and teaching our son the necessary skills to maintain good sleep, we don’t foresee anymore sleep training in our future.

Our son was impossible to put down at night. My husband or I would have to lie on his bedroom floor or even climb into his crib. At nearly 2 years old, he was still unable to sleep through the night. We contacted Cara for help and within 3 days, our little boy was going to bed much more easily and sleeping peacefully through the night. The process was painless and her support got us through!
